While Manulife ranks 100% in many categories, the service provided by Mellon Investor Services is atrocious!! On this date, July 17, 2007, I telephoned Mellon's 800 number at 1:57PM. Waiting, with the telephone in my ear, my call was finally answered at 2:41 PM. My call was merely to verify my address as requested by a notice I received from Mellon. After finally completing my business, I ask the servicing agent to speak to his supervisor. After waiting again for 10 minutes, the supervisor, Michael Phoenix, answered the phone. I complained to Mr. Phoenix about the time it took for their agent to answer the call. Mr. Phoenix, in a very matter-of-fact stated that they were answering the calls as best they could. This is ludicrous. Obviously, the powers that be, are not paying any attention to terrible customer service that Mellon is providing. And the alternative, using the computer, is little better if worthwhile at all. TIME FOR SOME ACTION TO GIVE DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE TO STOCKHOLDERS (and in my case, a policy holder as well)..
